Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

This patch will read what workspace a window was on and translate it to the corresponding viewport in compiz when you switch from metacity->compiz. It only works with horizontal viewports due to an API limitation in compiz (and the API is public so can't be changed by us). If you use workspaces instead of viewports in compiz it will do nothing because desktop will eventually be set to zero and it won't move the window.

This patch was taken from beryl with permission by it's author, Robert Carr.

Thank you for the patch. Can the default number of workspaces change be dropped then? Nicolas what do you think about it? How will it work with libwnck?

Is this patch related to bug 76965 somehow?

No, this is a patch that should let us have cube on by default.
