Since there has been about 2 months without a response, and since we don't have the necessary debug information to investigate this, I'm closing this as out of date. But if this problem still occurs for you, feel welcome to send a new bug, but please if you could follow the steps on http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash to get a proper backtrace it would allow us to investigate.
