Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Can't really offer much more explanation atm.
Ubuntu let me know it had crashed. I didn't think i was using it.

Looking for a way to attach the crash log..... Cant find one.

Which flash package and version do you have installed?
Which Java package and version do you have installed?
Which video player and version do you have installed?
Which firefox extensions and themes do you have installed?

Did you close firefox before logging out? I have a feeling that is why the stacktrace turned up empty (for most part)

I will have a go with the debug stuff later.

I suspect firefox was open when i shut down. I have been making use of the 'restore session' facility. I know its bad practice, but its a useful feature.

Seems to have crashed by flashplayer, but there still a lot of unretraced symbols.

Flash player installed through firefox
Realplayer installed and firefox settings changed to allow Realplayer to play bbc audio streams.
Dunno which version of java
No other extensions (as far as i am aware)

Will head off to the debug wiki suggested.

If i have to logout/shutdown to try to reproduce the crash - will that not compromise the debugging stuff?

Well, just shutdown the machine with a coupla flvs open (including the one i was watching last night) and no crash on login.
Session restored aok.
