kwin is not good at managing NEEDS_ATTENTION

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kwin

I am using kwin with GNOME, and am very happy with it as a substitute for the woefully underfeatured metacity. However, when swapping focus from one unminimised window to another the defocused window starts flashing in the taskbar as if NEEDS_ATTENTION is set, even though no URGENT hint has been sent. This does not happen if I minimise one window to switch focus to the other, or if I unminimise a window to switch to it.

Hi. Sorry, but we cannot support using kwin with Gnome. I'm sure you can do interesting things with that combination, but that leaves you on your own I'm affraid. If you want to see better support for this combination I suggest you wite secification for an enhancement or work with others on mailing lists or in forums to try to get it done. Thanks.
