nvidia-glx-legacy doesn't start GLX

Bug Description

Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-legacy

With this package on feisty, i don't have GLX enabled.
the symlink are fine, DRI has been commented out, but still no GLX support.
What can i do?

How did you enable the nvidia binary driver? Did you do it through restricted-manager ? If not then you may find that because composite is enabled GL has been disabled (see Bug #91064 ).

Could you attach the
/var/log/Xorg.0.log
file to this bug please?

yes
i went tru restricted manager, however after manually editing xorg.conf and disabling composite everything went fine:

I guess the next question is when did you use restricted-manager ? If it wasn't restricted-manager 0.13 or later then you would have had this problem...

Hmm the log says composite was disabled so I'm guessing this was a log generated after you made the change? Is this right?

Could you
1. Make sure you are up to date and check that
dpkg -l restricted-manager
is version 0.13 or later.
2. Back up your /etc/X11/xorg.conf .
3. Undo the changes you made (so composite is enabled).
4. Upload the "undone" /etc/X11/xorg.conf here.
5. Try using restricted-manager again and indicating what the result is.
