opening a file with gedit from nautilus search shows the file as empty

Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. search for something that returns a .txt file
2. open in gedit or any other text editor
3. the file is empty. if you open the file by normal browsing to it's
location it works ok.
Actual Results:
The opened file appears to be empty.
Expected Results:
gEdit should open the searched file.
