Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-games

Gnome-sudoku crashes on start if using multi-byte strings,
the split does not respect multi-byte strings and therefore it crashes on russian and probably other locales requiring unicode.
The game crashes on game initialization

Affected product: gnome-games/gnome-sudoku
Reproducable: always on current Feisty 7.04 [ latest updates by 29/03/07 ]
Security: does not affect security
Crash type: local crash of gnome-sudoku on startup
Type: full blocker for gnome-sudoku, does not affect other parts of the system
Fixed: already fixed by gnome

Thank you for your bug. No need to open upstream bugs on launchpad. That one will be fixed when we update to GNOME 2.18.1

   * New upstream release:
     - GNOME Sudoku:

         #97736)
       - Sort game name columns numerically
       - Make sure one game is always selected for restoring

       - Handle corrupted high score entries
       - Stop number pop-up from visibly moving when created
       - Stop number pop-up from being in taskbar list
       - Correctly mark game name as unicode so that it can be split on
