Tested as thoroughly as I can, this time I'm pretty sure I haven't broken anything else (this time)!
I've found *another* (unrelated) crash bug in the testing of this, and I'll file it later, but it's much less obvious to fix, less of a problem, and more obscure (it happens when you try to quit specto before it's finished starting up).
