Thanks for your bug report. Which icon theme do you use? Do you have ubuntu-desktop installed? Can you make a screenshot of the issue?

I experience the same problem in Kubuntu, after doing a DistUpgrade to Feisty.

Nearly all icons on toolbars, folders and in menus are gone.

I'm using the default icon-theme "Crystal SVG".

Installed the system from kubuntu-7.04-beta-desktop-i386.iso then updated it. The snapshot posted is a good representation the icon problem I have with evolution.

This upload fixes the bug:

 gtk+2.0 (2.10.11-0ubuntu2) feisty; urgency=low
 .
   * debian/patches/010_use_gnome_icon_theme.patch:
     - use "gnome" icon theme by default (Ubuntu: #98860)
