Bug Description

Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird

After two weeks I had been using Thunderbird, it started crashing at startup.
The output is:

alessio@Matiz:~$ mozilla-thunderbird
DOUBLE-CLICK: 400 --> -1 THRESHOLD: 8 --> -1 Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I tried opening Thunderbird as superuser and it worked fine...

What version of ubuntu are you using and what version of thunderbird are you using?
Can you try to disable all extenstions and themes and than see if you can crash it. If so can you please try with a new profile by following instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs

I disabled thunderbird extensions (just language packs) and I entered thunderbird as a new user but the problem occurs again.
The terminal output is always the same:
"Segmentation fault (core dumped)"
