Bug Description

After the upgrade from Edgy to Feisty when I ctrl+alt+f1 into tty1 and then attempt to ctrl+alt+f7 back to X I lose all video output to my monitors and end up having to reboot using the power button to get back to a functional system. My Xorg logs appear clean and there is no entry in /var/crash/ or /var/log/faillog and both my /var/log/syslog and kern.log appear to not have any errors either.

Edit: Just to clarify what I mean by "no video" - the LED indicators on my monitors actually go from green to amber as though they are not getting any signal.

After further examination and a complete replacement of my xorg.conf it has been concluded that there was something in the file causing the issue that was probably result from a manual edit from a previous date.

The issue was resolved and turned out not to be a bug but a configuration problem
