Gpass doesn't launch a site in a browser

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gpass

I have tested this using a Feisty hard drive installation. Installing gpass in Feisty should set the launcher preference (found by clicking Edit, the Preferences, then the Launchers tab) for "general" to be "gnome-open @hostname@" by default. In a Feisty hard drive install the reference is missing causing the error given above.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta?

To my knowledge this has never been fixed (it worked in edgy and before), but I've had to fill in the launcher info in every version of ubuntu since....and I just checked Intrepid and it's still the same....I assume the syncing from debian keeps resetting this......is there no way to permanently fix this......it would be a pain for a new user to have to go searching for the answer (which they probably wouldn't do) just to fix a simple issue like this

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
