Bug Description

Binary package hint: samba

I'm on dapper.

When I run 'rpcclient', and press 'tab' without first typing a letter, I get the following error:

rpcclient $> *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x082379e8 ***
Aborted

I think it should just list all possible commands, or do nothing.. but not crash

I can confirm this on Dapper (smbclient 3.0.22-1ubuntu3.3):

$ rpcclient 192.168.1.101 -U Administrator
Password:
rpcclient $> *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x08277818 ***
Aborted

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - the Gutsy Gibbon. It won't be fixed in previous versions of Ubuntu because the bug doesn't fit requirements for backporting or a StableReleaseUpdates. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates for more information.
