Default QT appearance in GNOME is unsightly

Bug Description

Install ubuntu dapper. Install a qt-based application, e.g. amarok
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Amarok)

Note huge fonts, compared to those of gnome.

This might be a more general bug: unification of settings across Gnome and KDE, but I guess this is the domain of freedesktop.org.

The default for QT applications should be more sensible, or match the Gnome settings in place at the time of installation of the first QT application.

Thanks for your bug. Not sure of what would be to change for it. "gnome-desktop" is the package shipping the "about GNOME" dialog and libgnomedesktop, that's not the right place for that

I'm marking this as duplicate of bug 66917.
Please note that there's a new bug in Gutsy, which still makes qt applications appear unsightly (bug 145709), but there is a proposed package with a fix for it already available.

Changed in gtk-qt-engine:
