front window is moved to back when switching desktops

Bug Description

In dapper drake, when moving from one desktop to another, if the window is maximised, it frequently switches to another window. It brings this other window into focus as the main window, and brings it to the front.

This is reproducable on both a clean dapper system, and one with xgl/compiz installed.

To date, this has only happened when clicking the desktop in lower right corner.

Changed Severity to minor. This is an annoyance, and by no means a showstopper. I can't figure out how to assign it to Dapper though...

Timothy:

I'm fairly sure metacity doesn't do this (i.e. this is compiz bug). Can you run
metacity --replace
and let us know whether you can still cause the issue?

I'll try when I am back at work on monday. That is where I have dapper
running.

Is this still a problem? I can't reproduce it on Edgy (my windows always stay where they should be)

Nope. It stopped being an issue on dapper about 4 months ago. Sorry, I
should have closed it.

Seriously? Can't delete comments?

Clicked the wrong button on linkedin, and it blasted my entire contact list with an invite. Whoops.

Sorry for the spam. Can a mod remove the above?
