Bug Description

Hello,

I observed a really disturbing thing. On a clean install (didn't do any tweaking yet) I simply tried to run an aplication from kicker. I recieved message "/usr/share (...) <app_name>.desktop service is damaged" for each application on kicker. When I tried to log out the screen suddenly dissappeared and there wasn't any splashy logout screen, only messages about... checking the filesystem. Neither did the system reboot - I had to do this manually. This seems to be something critical...

I know how to reproduce the problem. Try loading Kubuntu and login. Leave the system alone for approximately half an hour. Do not lock the screen. After coming back try to run ANY application. It will produce the above error. Hitting 'Shutdown' from KMenu will cause KDE to dissappear without showing any shutdown/restart options. Once it dissappears you can't login through ctrl+alt+Fx consoles. Please somebody confirm this - for xfs users this bug makes the system UNOPERATIVE since each such reboot may cause data loss!

Thanks for your report. Have you still this problem? Please give information about your version of Kubuntu with this problem. If I have understood do you have xfs filesystem?
