Sorry, I have no idea, what you do in debian/changelog - could you try that again or at least translate the changelog entry to English.

While Debian is our upstream, it's not Blender upstream (which is at www.blender.org).

Sorry for the first patch.
I'v translated changelog in english in this new patch.

This patch add "Name[fr]" and "Comment[fr]" in the blender.desktop file
