Bug Description
Binary package hint: hotkey-setup
My system behaves like it's missing events from the keyboard. Specifically, some keypresses are ignored, and some others start being repeated (like no "key up" event was received).
The problem doesn't always occur (though it occurs most of the time, to an extent that typing becomes very hard).
The keyboard is connected to a PS/2 port. Swapping it for another PS/2 keyboard results in the same problems. I haven't tried USB keyboards.
I haven't managed to reproduce the problem under Windows; I think I recall that it occurred under Ubuntu Breezy, but to a much lesser extent (the keyboard being wireless, it does miss the odd keypress once in a while in any case).
I have an Abit KV7 motherboard, with a Socket A AMD Sempron 2400+ processor.
I am running Kubuntu Dapper with kernel 2.6.15-23-K7, but the problem also occurs using the 386 kernel.
The problem seems to affect both X-Window and the console.
