I think that's how it's supposed to work with the bcm43xx driver: the light blinks as data comes in and out. I -as a user- prefer it that way too :)

"Wireless" button on zx5000 also does not work.

When operated under windows, this button has function solely to toggle the transceiver between on and off.

Currently, my wireless is disabled in ubuntu, although the drivers are installed, configured, and enabled.

Can you please post some more informations ?
like :
- The exact kernel version you are using (uname -r)
- driver version (via modinfo module_name)
- the dmesg
- the /var/log/syslog
- is this still an issue on Hardy Heron ?

thank you for your help !
