Colors do not apply to the menu bar

Bug Description

Go to the Appearance and Themes // Colors in the KDE Control Center and you will see that the File Edit... part does not change colors.

I cannot reproduce it on my edgy with KDE 3.5.5. Is this still an issue for you?

Assumed to be fixed because noone can reproduce this bug on edgy and the original author does not respond.
Please reopen the bug, if you can still see this bug.

I got this same problem. The menu bar text ignores the color change no matter what. The menu bar background will show black, but the text will remain black. The text is illegible.
