Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdm

The lang environment variable is not exported to kdm bringing default POSIX settings within kde sessions.

Bug can be solved by adding an apprpriate instruction to:
/etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc

Within the [General] secition, add the line:
ExportList=LANG

The packaged kdmrc should provide this or any proper way of letting kdm to export LANG to kde sessions.

Actually it hapens hile dist-upgrade and replacing /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc with the packaged version.

All applications launched from the kde session then default to POSIX locale.

i *didn't* encounter this bug when installing from the kubuntu Dapper live. I've choosen french during ubiquity-kde stage. Atfer install is finished and reboot, kdm is still in english, but the KDE session is localized as expected (in french).

I'll file another bug for KDM being in english, but perhaps I should also file it under ubiquity-kde ? What do you think ?
