Bug Description

Binary package hint: kubuntu-default-settings

After setting up TwinView on Kubuntu Beta 2, the icons on the KDE splash got mashed together. Before (when I was just running one monitor), it looked like it was supposed to.

Here's a screenshot of what the Kubuntu splash looks like on my computer side-by-side with what it's supposed to look like.

I just noticed that the MoodinKDE splash theme does the same thing (not as noticeable, as the icons are a lot farther apart), so this may be a problem with ksplash-engine-moodin and not kubuntu-default-settings.

Just to pipe in here, I'm getting this same bug too. Running KDE 3.5.3 and TwinView on an NVIDIA XFX 6800 GS.

I've tried it with the default bootsplash (Noah's screenshot) and also a silver MoodinKDE splash theme.

I can confirm too, with MacBook with xinerama and dapper (i haven't tested with edgy).

With 3 people experiencing this bug, I'm marking it confirmed.

This appears to be a result of using Twinview or Xinerama. When I drop Twinview and use just a single screen, the icons don't blend together at all.

This is still happening with the latest Edgy packages.
