Hibernating 1GB of RAM doesn't work anymore with 2.6.15-18 & -19

Bug Description

Hibernate doesn't work with the most recent kernel (2.6.15-18) on my Samsung X20. It still works flawlessly with 2.6.15-17 so I think this is a kernel issue.

Detailed:
I can suspend the machine without a problem and I can even try to hibernate it. It shuts off cleanly but after I start it new, if freezes with a blank screen. Not even pressing the fn+Num key works (no visual feedback - the led stays off). Of course ctrl-alt-del, ctrl-alt-backspace don't work either.

This is a regression since it worked with 2.6.15-17 and still does.

Hibernation still doesn't work with 2.6.15-19, the laptop just freezes shortly after a reboot.
Again, this is a regression and a kernel problem since the laptop hibernates without a problem with the kernel 2.6.15-17
How can I debug the kernel and the hibernating stuff, since my screen stays dark and I don't know why it fails!

#35312 reports a similar failure on the hp compaq nx7010.

Do all problematic systems have 1GB or more memory?
My nw8240 has and this may be related to memory size, so please report.

I can also confirm this - hibernating works with 2.6.15-17, but not with -18 or -19. This is on a 64-bit HP nx6125 with 1 gig of ram, kernels 2.6.15-xy-amd64-k8.
