Bug Description

There's a patch available here to properly report the WPA capability of the ipw3945. It's been accepted into the development version of the ipw3945.

In fact, it might be worth applying the entire set of changes from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1. It seems they fixed a number of bugs:

Agreed. In fact, 1.0.0 was really 0.0.69, while 1.0.1 is the next release after 0.0.74. So the link Richard provided only lists a portion of the bugs fixed from 1.0.0 => 1.0.1. There were some serious problems with 1.0.0.

Looking at the changelog at http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/#news , everything in up to 1.0.3 is a bug fix, if possible, it may be desirable to jump to 1.0.3 to get the WPA fixes along with the rest.
