metacity: 1:2.9.34-0ubuntu1
if /apps/metacity/general/reduced_resources is set to 1 (or checked) when
maximizing nautilus windows (through doubleclicking the titlebar) artificials of
the hor and vert bars appear on the background. It seems when doubleclicking the
titlebar the background will not be redrawn after resize.

the lines are displayed when you click but I don't understand the "It seems when
doubleclicking the titlebar the background will not be redrawn after resize."
... do you have a refresh issue on the background ? on the window ? could you
provide a screenshot of the bug ?

to reproduce:
1. open a nautilus window (while having everything set as mentioned above).
2. maximize it by double clicking the titlebar.
-> bars
let anything else get focus -> bars will be gone
resize to normal again by double clicking the titlebar -> bars.

Actually I think this is not a metacity but a nautilus bug. Firefox and other
apps redrawn correctly. They must have missed out one redraw. But I'm no
programmer so I can't be sure :)

I found the same behavior is happening in gaim, when in an irc channel. The main
text-window (and all controls) will be redrawn correctly, but the channel list
(or rather nick list) and the input field will have bars.

Does this bug still happen on Intrepid ? I cannot reproduce it (but maybe it works only with emacs, which I don't have installed)

The bug seems fixed in Intrepid, though only partially. While the artifacts disappear almost immediately, they are visible for a very brief time. Consider it fixed.
