Bug Description

This is on dapper Flight 4 with the latest updates: after I re-arange icons using Clean Up by Name option in the right-click menu and then reboot the system, the icons change their positions (and not always in a consistent way).

Same happens here on a current dapper system. If i put the Home icon somewhere on the desktop, it will be moved at next login. Very annoying.

14 users have confirming this bug in Dapper: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=143821.

Moreover, additional details regarding this bug have surfaced: "if I manually place the icons leaving about 2cm between them vertically, they don't move, but after Clean Up By Name they change locations invariably."

Please do at least acknowledge this bug, it's indeed very annoying and does not belong in a professional OS which Mark aims for.

Thanks for your bug. That's a known issue and a duplicate of bug #31236 by example
