Bug Description

Nicotine has been dead for a while. A guy called "daelstorm" is maintaining a patchset of nicotine which fixes some things.

His website is here:

It has a few added features of soulseek, uses the new GTK filechooser, and other UI changes.

Please fill a debian wishlist bug about this, it's really difficult to manage such divergence from debian.

And how do I do that? I didn't realize that packages in Universe (especially dead ones) needed to be taken from Debian.

OK. I got Debian to update. Their 1.0.8.da release is satisfactory. Can Universe update to that now, or has it taken too long?

Edgy now contains 1.0.8.e-1. Is that based on the daelstorm version of nicotine?

Rather it's based on the nicotine+ fork which is based on daelstrom.
