Can not print in OpenOffice

Bug Description

I can not print in OpenOffice, the printing job is cancelled immediatly. When I export the document as a pdf file and when I open it with gpdf printing works.

I use Dapper, upgraded from Breezy.

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'openoffice'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.

I have had exactly the same problem.
I cannot print an odt file from oowriter (2.0.2-2ubuntu1) but, when it is converted to pdf, Evince prints it OK.
'Low Urgency' status only applies to those who are not trying to print openoffice documents. Is there a timescale for putting openoffice back together in Ubuntu?

Same thing here, with a freslhy dist-upgraded Kubuntu Dapper, just a few days before final release....

It is working now according to the test I dit yesterday, with the final release of Kubuntu Dapper.

Same exact problem here on 3 different Dapper workstations!
The printing jobs are stopped quite immediately, via remote but also printing locally...
I hope will be fixed anytime soon, it's a very annoying problem...

Hi:

I ran into this bug too, it may be that you need a plug-in for Open
Office. You may be able to find it in Synaptic, for the kind of Printer
System (Program that you are making use of!)

Hi,

here on Kubuntu 6.06.1 I cannot print: in the print dialog I cannot see the printer setted in CUPS and if I try to print with "Generic Printer" nothing will be printed.

I can print as of the release of Ubuntu 6.06. In Edgy it works, too.
