Bug Description
The PHP mysqli extension allows you to take adavantage of some of MySQL5's new features, for example SP's. It is not included in the standard MySQL extension and needs to be compiled separately .
As MySQL5 is now an option from the official ubuntu repos, it would be nice to have this php-mysqli extension available as well.
