automatic last.fm links don't work so well

Bug Description

Because the artist names pulled from freecddb (or musicbrainz) don't always match with the ones used by last.fm, the "get information on this artist/album from the web" support often results in a 404.

It might be better to link to their search page instead, at least until they complete their integration with musicbrainz as a backend (at which point we should have a canonical way to describe most albums).

Example:
* Rhythmbox reads "Coheed & Cambria".
* This links to http://last.fm/music/Coheed%20%26%20Cambria (404)
* The real link is http://last.fm/music/Coheed+and+Cambria
* It is pretty forgiving, so http://last.fm/music/Coheed%20and%20Cambria also works, although avoiding the need for escaping results in a nicer looking URL.

If you check the "upstream bug", this feature has been removed from recent versions of rhythmbox. There is a bug for adding a more general online lookup feature as a plugin instead.

I think it was gone in 0.9.3, it has definitely gone in 0.9.5

Should this bug be closed or marked as invalid/won't fix/fixed?

Looking at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331250 - it's still 'CONFIRMED', so not closed as WONTFIX.

It has been a while since this bug was reported. Is it still present on the version of Rhythmbox available through the Software Centre on 11.10, or shipped with 12.04?
