Bug Description
I'm having an odd issue with USB discovery of a standard USB mouse on a HP Pavilion DV5320. I've been tested various laptops with this mouse using the same Ubuntu live CD so I know the mouse works and should be detected. My Cruzer Micro USB memory stick shows up fine, but the mouse never even lights up no matter what port it's put in. There's nothing in dmesg going on either. This is occuring with Edgy Beta 1. I can't keep this laptop (it's a customers) so I've taken lspci, lshw, and lsusb data for the computer.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release?
Let me recapitulate.
You use you USB memory stick to prove yourself that your USB port is working.
Your mouse work on your Ubuntu Live CD, but only on others computers, not yours.
That's it?
Thanks in advance.
