Bug Description

This usb mouse don't work in edgy. There's only the Y-axis and the button move pointer on X-Axis.

Fortunaly, i've found a "shell" fix with this commands.

rmmod usbmouse
rmmod usbhid
insmod /lib/modules/<my kernel version>/kernel/drivers/usb/input/usbhid.ko

Hope, this can help !

Thanks for reporting this bug in Ubuntu. Can you reproduce the behavior under Feisty or newer Ubuntu? If so, can you please attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log files, and the output from lspci -vv?

I've installed my new notebook (Packard Bell Easynote BU) with Feisty and the same mouse.
