Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
X fails to start when using the ati driver on my X800. The simple error message is "(EE) No Device Detected". To use X on this card I have to use either vesa or fglrx.
This is especially bad for the desktop installer CD which always fails to start X and X has to be reconfigured to use vesa just to get into the desktop on the CD. This was the case for the Edgy CD and Feisty Herd 1. It may have also existed with Dapper, but that is too far back for me to say now.
