Bug Description

When I boot the Flight 6 live CD, the resolution is set to 1024x768 on my laptop with i915 integrated graphics. While it is pure fiction to work with 1400x1050 (you need i915resolution for that one to work), at least 1280x1024 should be selected.

I will attach all information from the DebuggingXAutoconfiguration page on the wiki.

Carlo Facci (cieffe) wrote : Dapper Beta Installer have the same problem

Maybe you already know. but also after installation of Dapper Beta with install CD I have to add universe repository and install i915resolution to make my screen use the correct resolution.

Thanks

This should be fixed properly (inside the X server) for dapper+1 as about 1 month ago Intel donated the code to actually do mode-setting without the BIOS!
