Release notes
Note: Dmedia has NOT earned its "production ready" wings yet, so please treat this release with the usual caution. Test Dmedia, give us feedback, but don't trust your data to it... yet.
Another note: although not a result of changes in Dmedia, the whole Novacut stack now works on Python 3.3.4rc1 and Python 3.4Beta3 in Ubuntu Trusty
Changes include:
* Enabled ECDH-based perfect forward secrecy in both the main HTTP server and the peering server; for more details, see:
http://
* By way of a change in Microfiber, client SSL config will now only connect to servers that have enabled perfect forward secrecy; this means that Dmedia 14.01 (and later) clients wont be able to connect to Dmedia 13.12 (and earlier) servers, so please upgrade :)
* Also by way of a change in Microfiber, Dmedia now has a lower baseline memory usage as it no longer imports `http.client` (we're down to 219 modules imported from 235)
* The main HTTP server now uses `degu.server.
Degu is a new Novacut component that includes an HTTP server, a low-level HTTP client, and a shared parser plus IO abstractions used by both the server and client:
Start on Degu docs (still very incomplete):
