I can easily reproduce it on a CCSv5.3b1 (RHEL 6.5) fast controller (= physical machine) Run a soft IOC with a single ai record, then do caget:
langer @ dain-fc1.codac.iter.org : ~ $ caget ai ai nan pure virtual method called
or
langer @ dain-fc1.codac.iter.org : ~ $ caget ai ai nan pure virtual method called terminate called without an active exception Aborted (core dumped)
Approx 30% of the calls are failing in one of those ways.
