Ok, that still makes sense -- that's a lower version-number than the first broken version we know of (2.16.1, from comment 2).

FWIW, this bug persists in Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic", with libgtk version 2.18.3-1.
(using latest mozilla-central nightly as my browser)
