this seems to work well, when applied to the original file rect0485.svg. The only complaint I would have about this is that it has modified the basic structure of the file. It has created a new group above the normal "Layer 1" group, so the layers are no longer immediately underneath root. When I interrogate the layers dialog, I find only 90to96Layer, not Layer 1 as expected.
