I tried it on gentoo with V 0.92.3 and found patch errors:

- trailing tabs in the channel.cpp source file but not in the patch (Line 31)

after correcting that I got an error (later) aboout the missing opacity functions

Isn't there a way to port it completely to ImageMagick 7?

The functions are deprecated awhile.

Don't know enough yet, but couldn't there be some IM related switches?
