I agree with Mark that an especially good use case for launchpad as an openid provider is to support authentication to loco team web sites and services. It seems particularly unfortunate to ask loco members to get not only a launchpad id, but also to sign up with the local team's web site in order to modify content, post pictures, etc. I'd love to see, e.g. the Colorado Local Team be able to accept launchpad openids.

Once we do that, it would also be nice to be able to query launchpad to find out if the user is a team member. Is there any simple API to do that, or would we have to scrape the +members page?
