This will need reevaluation: if we get rid of non-series tasks, then changing the product can and should just leave other series tasks unaffected: the user can move them over separately; however we need a 'delete' facility, or the case where a task is genuinely no longer needed will be unable to be cleaned up.
Which suggests that we could fix this currently by permitting deletes too.
