Thanks for the patch, Cody. It's great that you're helping out with bugs in Launchpad.

However:

 - There are no tests to go with this patch, and I've no idea what tests it's going to break.
 - It would be much better if this were a branch rather than a patch. That would allow us to use the code review system and would give us a better chance getting this landed sooner.

I'm happy to help you out with writing the tests; just ping me if you've any questions. I'll also review the final branch for you and make sure it lands on devel, too.
