Comment 10 for bug 717345

Those launchpad-forking-service processes were probably similar to the ones we just found on tellurium from your load tests: all hung trying to open the fifos, because bzr-sftp didn't have enough file handles to connect. The logs show 30810, 30811 start normally, then the next one run out of handles. Given that the oldest live process is 30812, it is probably the first victim. Nothing from before the file handle exhaustion is still alive.

A few other processes were straced, with every one hung opening one of the fifos.
