Just adding here some comments, that might help understanding the problem.

Looking at other bug reports agains the lazr library, albeit used for OAuth application authorization, one workaround would be to remove the '~/.cache/$APP/launchpad.credentials' file. Do not know if this can be applied to our situation or how we can check that on server side.
