Comment 5 for bug 82368

I notice the same thing. It started in Dapper for me and is still present in Edgy. Sometimes my keyboard works and other times not at all. In the cases where it doesn't work I need to unplug it and plug it back in again.

Some other symptoms of the problem (perhaps useful?):
I have a type matrix ez-reach keyboard (typematrix.com). I notice that the caps lock light is always on even though caps lock is not really on when I type characters. When the keyboard doesn't work the caps lock light is on and it cannot be turned off by pressing caps lock. I can check if the keyboard will work or not and whether I have to unplug and replug again using this caps lock light.
