Release notes 

* Slightly more verbose/helpful logging in `replicate_continuously()` function

* Use `str.encode()`, `str.decode()` instead of `str.encode('utf-8')`, `str.decode('utf-8')` as the former are faster yet do the same thing (because 'utf-8' is the default encoding in Python3)

* Add experimental `Database.compact()`, `Database.wait_for_compact()` methods

* Some small fixes for issues found by `pyfakes3` (in 14.05 we'll run `pyflakes3` by default during build)
