Novacut 11.11
Although our push to PyGI means the renderer is currently broken, it gives us a great incentive to charge ahead to GStreamer 1.0, where the real party is happening. Thanks to Christian Schaller, we know that we can get EOS events using PyGI with GStreamer 0.11 (the dev version leading up to 1.0):

So I think the goal this month should be to deliver GStreamer 0.11 to Oneiric users through our PPA (which will be low risk as 0.10 and 0.11 are parallel installable) and do as much as we can to have the renderer working again. There may be some missing plugins, but we'll do what we can and help shake out bugs in GStreamer 0.11 in the process.
