@dino99: I have been reading a bit around, and maybe I could rephrase what you said based on that for people coming late to the show.

"The use of `ntfs-config` is deprecated as it hasn't received any updates since the time of its Ubuntu Feisty, over a decade ago (2007). The only currently supported way of using and configuring ntfs-3g is through the command line options and the fstab interface.
