It is more a problem of lack of resources than of willingness to do it. For quite some time, there has only been marmuta working on Onboard's code. In this situation, I think that it is better to concentrate on Onboard's integration into the desktop we are actively using, than trying to target to many desktops, resulting in a bad integration because we don't have the necessary resources.
