The bug was likely introduced when python-side context & domain evaluations for views was removed, the whole handling of groupbys is actually lost (the groupby itself works-ish, but the UI dispatching does not leading to lost icons and odd behaviors when e.g. group-by filters are split across multiple groups as in the sale orders view of a db with all modules installed)
